A2D Academy is a non-profit organization founded by Allison and Alex Deme. Our mission is to raise up, encourage, and mentor students in education and the arts. We provide a unique learning environment where students in grades K-5 collaborate and learn from each other through peer mentorship. Our curriculum is individualized, allowing students to work at their own pace and develop important skills. We prioritize creating a safe and supportive atmosphere that fosters independence, self-confidence, and self-awareness.
Role Description
This is a part-time on-site role for a STEAM Teacher at A2D Academy located in Edina, MN. The STEAM Teacher will be responsible for implementing effective lesson plans, facilitating learning activities, and promoting communication and collaboration among students. The teacher will use innovative teaching methods to engage and inspire students in the areas of science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics.
Qualifications
- Experience in lesson planning, education, and teaching
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to create engaging and interactive learning experiences
- Knowledge of STEAM subjects and teaching methods
- Elementary teaching license
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Passion for mentoring and supporting students
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet individual student needs
- Experience in fostering a safe and inclusive learning environment
