A2MAC1 - Decode the future is Hiring a Customer Program Manager Near Belleville, MI

As a Customer Program Manager, you will acquire and manage projects for OEMs and major suppliers in an international & challenging environment. Your mission is to bring maximum value, actionable findings & conclusions to the customer. You'll work cross functionally to provide commercial as well as technical findings, leveraging the extensive expertise at A2Mac1. You are able to identify valuable recommendations to the customers and to communicate them in an actionable frame as well as to identify further common project opportunities in a long-term customer relationship.
You are responsible for all Technical and Financial aspects of large, strategic projects from initial Customer Engagements / Programs and RFIs through to the Project Closing. Your day-to-day work as a Customer Program Manager includes managing strategic projects as well as creating convincing proposals in the acquisition phase of a project. You are our central interface to a customer while performing a project and you are a key person to maintain business with the client. Your responsibility is a clear and reliable communication to the customer on engineering, management & executive level. You organize the delivery of your project and the management of timelines according to the clients' expectations and you orchestrate the customer relationship. Thanks to your initiative, creativity and goal-oriented mode you bring in actionable ideas to further improve our services & offerings to our clients.
  • Managing client engagements and client relationships
  • Managing strategic projects, incl. planning, ensuring quality, meeting deadlines, etc
  • Identifying actionable recommendations while keeping a "hands-on" mentality
  • Owning the responsibility for the quality of the engagements
  • Presenting results, key findings and ensuring client satisfaction
  • Guiding the project delivery team to provide the right output to the customer
  • Support Business Development in scoping out project proposals for strategic projects
KEY MEASURES & INDICATORS (main KPIs used in the role)
  • Program delivery on time on value for the customer (will ensure repetitive business)
  • Profitability of programs delivered to the customer (target margins through effective resource management)
  • Customer satisfaction (NPS for engagements managed)
  • Shared revenue target on assigned engagements together with Key Account Management
RequirementsProfessional Background
  • Expertise managing complex programs in an automotive and global matrix environment ideally at OEM and/or Tier 1) within (value) engineering departments
  • Completed Master studies (or Bachelor with 5 years of relevant work experience) preferably within electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or business administration with engineering extension
  • 3 to 5 years post-graduate school consulting experience, with 1 years at a project management level
Skills & Abilities
  • Proven track record building deep and influential stakeholder relationships within large customer organizations
  • Experience in technical and/or service sales or customer service is advantageous
  • Technical curiosity, willingness to learn and adopt fast and "hands-on" player/coach mentality
  • Strong project management, analytical and communication skills
  • Customer oriented working style with good business development sense finding new opportunities to grow relationship
  • An open-minded personality, self-confident appearance as well as very good English and X Language skills
  • Ability to self-lead and others
  • Appreciates regular business travel and spending time on assigned customer sites, globally
