AA2IT is Hiring a Graduate Assistant Near Tarrytown, NY
Job SummaryWe are looking for a Formulation Lab Technician in Tarrytown, NY to formulate Hair, Skin, and Sun Care products. This is an entry level position and we are only looking for candidates with 0-1 years of experience. Candidates must have a BS in Chemistry or a related field but we will consider individuals enrolled in a matriculated program geared towards a four-year science degree.
Responsibilities
- Formulation of all types of Hair, Skin & Sun Care products including but not limited to gels, creams, lotions, serums, beach products, sticks, sprays, and balms.
- Perform and track prototype stability and compatibility.
- Maintain, organize, and order lab supplies/raw materials as necessary
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering
- 0-1 years of formulation experience
- Be able to follow a set formula and procedure provided by senior chemists to create finished formulations.
- Familiarity with laboratory equipment and procedures - specifically pH meter, Brookfield Viscometer, stand mixers, and Silverson homogenizers
- Understanding of emulsion, polymers and surfactant technology, and general cosmetic technology as well as formulation techniques.
- Must have good problem solving, decision making, and organization skills and ability to work well in a team environment
- Ability to maintain a laboratory notebook, as a professional legal document.
- Be able to lift 50 lbs., and work at bench for 8 hours per day
