Job Purpose Summary:

The primary role of the Mobile Events & Activities Specialist is to interact with members and future members via the AAA Central Penn Mobile Unit by traveling to events, residences, and businesses within our nine-county servicing area. The Mobile Events &Activities Specialist will assist with inquiries, service requests, and sales related transactions and appropriately promoting all AAA products and services.

 This role is considered Essential Duty Personnel and is required to work as scheduled, including weekends and holidays, regardless of weather conditions.

This is a hybrid position in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Must have the ability to attend trainings and department meetings in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. 

 Essential Functions:

• Drive and properly operate the Mobile Unit for use at events and member appointments, perform vehicle condition inspections after each use.
• Process membership sales, credit card transactions, membership renewals, and general account maintenance. 
• Complete and pass the required education, training, examination, and take oath to become a Notary Public in the State of Pennsylvania. 
• Offer Travel Agency products, process reservations and leads for various travel needs using AAA preferred vendors.
• Handle inquiries regarding AAA’s Insurance Agency product offerings, appropriately directing clients to licensed agents.
• Process Driving School and Mature Operator class enrollments.
• Complete transactions for maps, EZPass, Trip Tiks, Travel Store merchandise, notary services, foreign currency exchange, discount theme park and attraction tickets, Discounts & Rewards program, and other duties as required. 
• Work with the Mobile Events & Activities Supervisor to provide quality member experience and follow up with members after appointments. 
• Develop and present event and activity ideas within the AAA Central Penn territory.
• The Mobile Events & Activities Specialist will assist the Support Center by handling Roadside and Membership calls.
• Prioritize requests based on various criteria (safety, expedience, weather, traffic, etc.) ensuring safety-related issues are the highest priority, police or other emergency situations are handled appropriately. 
• Advise customers about problem resolution, safety-related issues, covered benefits, service alternatives during extreme weather, obtaining repair service, and additional charges that may apply.
• Manage the complete roadside assistance experience, providing necessary follow-up and feedback.
• Meet performance, service, and sales goals.
• Handle every transaction in accordance to established guidelines of the Mobile Activities & Events Supervisor and Support Center Manager.
• Utilize AAACP’s “one-call” resolution service philosophy in the Support Center.
• Properly utilize all AAACP’s business systems and resources to provide exemplary service.
• Perform other duties as assigned. 

Education, Knowledge, Previous Experience required 

• High school diploma or GED. 
• Previous customer service, call center, or travel agency related experience helpful.
• Must have a valid PA Driver’s License and clean driving record.
• Must have a current PA Notary or the ability to obtain within 3 to 6 months.
• Communication skills with the ability to communicate through multiple channels, including in-person, phone, chat, and email.
• Superior active listening skills with the ability to ask probing questions for clarity, ensure all key information is accurately obtained and/or conveyed, and make logical decisions to deliver superior customer service.
• Ability to adapt to changes in the work environment, adjusting to meet changing requirements across different situations.
• Ability to acquire, retain, and assimilate knowledge and skills.
• Possesses technical aptitude with the ability to use various computer systems to process information.
• This is a hybrid-work position, internet connectivity is required when not at an event or member appointment.
• Must be able to regularly travel between locations for business purposes. If driving, the incumbent must possess and maintain a clean driving record and meet minimum insurance standards to drive for company business. Only team members who possess an unrestricted, current driver’s license and adequate insurance coverage may operate AAA Central Penn’s vehicles or use a state registered, personal vehicle to conduct AAA Central Penn’s business.
