Job Purpose Summary:

The Manager, Branch Operations leads the branch team to achieve meaningful business results. They manage daily branch operations and are responsible for ensuring a remarkable personal experience is delivered to all customers. This position will be located at our Progress Avenue branch located in Harrisburg Pennsylvania and be a great opportunity to lead a team while having a positive impact on our members. 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

The Manager, Branch Operations, in collaboration with the Senior Sales & Field Manager, will be responsible for managing team members in the Progress Avenue branch. Managerial duties will include, but not be limited to, providing daily guidance to direct reports, coaching and mentoring, time and attendance administration, performance appraisals, and interviewing and hiring new team members. 

Essential Functions: 

1. Leads a team. 

  • Responsible for the revenue generating items associated to your branch.
  • Models AAA Central Penn Core Values.
  • Communicates expectations. 
  • Communicates relevant information to and from team members. 
  • Holds employees accountable to meet job expectations and achieve goals. 
  • Makes employment and performance management decisions.
  • Sets correct environment for and provides observation, training, coaching, mentoring and motivation to team members.
  • Serves as resource for employees to resolve issues/concerns. 
  • Leads special projects and activities. 
  • Ensures employee engagement by routinely recognizing individual and team accomplishments.
  • Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of the job. 

2. Committed to delivering a positive customer experience. 

  • Communicates sales and customer service expectations. 
  • Actively looks for ways to help employees perform to meet expectations and achieve goals. 
  • Finds ways to ensure a remarkable, personal experience for each customer. 
  • Demonstrates adaptability by addressing barriers to achieving a positive customer experience. 

3. Achieves all business goals. 

  • Innovatively manages sales opportunities to increase branch profitability.
  • Consistently communicates and measures attainment of goals at least monthly. 
  • Provides empowerment, support and training opportunities for team members.
  • Understands and adheres to budget while seeking out cost saving measures and efficiencies.

4. Manages operations within the Progress Avenue branch.

  • Schedules appropriate staffing to meet business needs.
  • Maintains accurate inventory and reporting.
  • Oversees daily cash drawer(s) balancing.
  • Manages facility maintenance and repairs.
  • Provides a professional, functioning, branded branch for members.
  • Must be able to maintain clearance for title/PennDOT work throughout employment. 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

  • Associates degree from two-year College or technical school; or seven to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • Travel, Notary, PennDOT and TriVIN training is desirable. 
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must have strong leadership skills and the ability to oversee branch operations and staff.
  • Must have strong customer service skills and possess the ability to make timely and informed decisions.
  • Must be organized, detailed, adapt well to change and supportive of company initiatives.
  • Must be proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet and the Campana system.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write and interpret reports, business correspondence, procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of employees, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Must be able to regularly travel between locations for business purposes. 
    1. If driving, the incumbent must possess and maintain clean driving record and meet minimum insurance standards to drive for company business. 
    2. Only team members who possess an unrestricted, current driver’s license and adequate insurance coverage may operate AAA Central Penn’s vehicles or use a state registered, personal vehicle to conduct AAA Central Penn’s business. (Required coverage levels: 100K per occurrence / 300k aggregate / 100k uninsured/under-insured motorist coverage. Personal insurance is considered primary, while corporate insurance coverage is considered secondary when a personal vehicle is used for company business. Documentation of coverage – Auto Insurance Declarations page – must be provided to People & Culture upon acceptance of a conditional offer of employment and annually thereafter.)
