We’ve kept busy here through the pandemic and beyond, and are now looking to add an Outside Sales Representative to our Sales Department. We are a family-owned heating & cooling company that has been in business in Portland for over 60 years. We have a dedicated database of pre-existing customers and a service department that consistently provides warm leads on a daily basis for our sales reps to close.
As a smaller, family owned company we pride ourselves on our comfortable work-life balance. We are not a 24/7 On Call company! We’re hoping that you are a self-motivated “people person” with prior HVAC experience who is ready to join our established sales team.
A successful applicant for this position will:
· Confidently guide customers through their options to select new equipment
· Have at least 1 year of HVAC sales experience for general familiarity with basic heating & cooling systems
· Show consistent ability to overcome the obstacles needed to close deals
· Follow up with undecided customers to answer questions and secure contracts
· Follow up to collect final payments on jobs you have sold
· Be able to pass background checks and be insurable on a company vehicle
· Work a flexible schedule Monday-Friday, centered around in-home appointments at customer’s houses
· Have creative problem-solving skills
· Participate in sales meetings with the rest of the department
· Work comfortably in a relaxed office environment
· Have a hunger for sales and YoY growth
This position begins with a starting salary for training before transitioning into solely commission/bonuses. Any applicant must be comfortable and confident with the process of sales in order to be successful.
