AAA-USA Inc is Hiring an Airframe and Powerplant Technician Near Wichita, KS

AAA, United States, Inc. has partnered with Aviation companies in several locations that shapes the future by designing and building military aircraft, business jets and space systems. We are looking for experienced Aircraft Mechanics who are seeking their next opportunity in a complex and ever-changing work environment!

The Aircraft Mechanic troubleshoots, repairs, inspects, and performs maintenance on customer aircraft. Performs and documents all work performed per appropriate manuals and regulations as required.

Wichita, KS

Opa-Locka, FL

Arlington, TX

Dallas, TX

Little Rock, AR

Essential Functions:

  • Adhere to Company’s General Work Requirements for factory, shop and or hangar positions.
  • Comply with Environmental Health & Safety policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to Company’s Work Requirements for factory, shop and/or hangar positions.
  • Participate in 5-S activities.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, install, inspect and perform maintenance on customer aircraft.
  • Perform and document work performed per appropriate manuals and regulations as required.
  • Operate ground support equipment as required.
  • Perform mechanical / electrical removals and installations.
  • Assist with maintenance at off-site locations as needed.
  • Assist with other maintenance disciplines as needed.
  • Assist with fuel and/or de-fuel of aircraft
  • Assist with aircraft component repair.
  • Assist with engine removal / installation.
  • Perform all assigned tasks in a safe and timely manner.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certificate with 2 years of experience or no A&P with at least 3 years of experience as an aircraft mechanic.
  • Ability to interpret and work with mechanical engineering drawings.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in both written and verbal form on individual and / or aircraft status.
  • Own a basic set of hand tools with the ability to demonstrate inventory & control of tools.
  • Must be able to obtain appropriate Ground Support Equipment Qualifications as required.
  • Have the ability to work unscheduled overtime including nonscheduled workdays and holidays.
  • Have the ability to work in seasonal/inclement weather outside.
  • Have the ability to obtain a Security Identification Display Area badge (SIDA) (If applicable)
  • Experience on corporate jet aircraft / commercial aircraft - preferred.
  • Basic PC skills - preferred.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $25.00 - $42.00 per hour
