AAK location The position can be situated at any of our locations, though placement in Malmo, Edison, or Singapore would be preferable. These locations have been chosen to maximize our operational efficiency and align with our strategic goals. The successful, candidate will be required to spend four days a week in the office, collaborating with team members and stakeholders with reasonable business travel to other locations required as necessary to effectively fulfil the responsibilities of the role. This travel is essential to support our international operations and enhance visibility and collaboration with leaders.
About The RoleReporting to the Global Director for People & Organizational Performance, the Global Rewards Manager is a new role responsible for the strategic design, deployment, and management of total rewards within AAK. The successful candidate will work in close collaboration with HR Directors and Business Partners to ensure that reward practices are competitive, equitable and aligned with the organization’s strategic goals across diverse markets while adhering to regional regulations and cultural nuances.
The role will develop and manage global compensation structures, including salary frameworks, incentive plans, executive compensation and conduct regular market benchmarking and job evaluations to ensure the organizations pay practices are competitive and equitable.
ResponsibilitiesAs Global Rewards Manager, your main responsibilities will be:
  • Strategic Planning: Developing and implementing reward strategies aligned with organizational goals to attract, retain, and develop talent.
  • Compensation Management: Design, implement and evaluate reward frameworks which align with performance management processes and incentivize high performance and contribution.
  • Benefits Management: Design, manage and administer global benefit programs, including health, wellness, and retirement. Control benefit costs through the negotiation of benefit contract terms, plan design and participating in the competitive bid processes where required.
  • Global Mobility Programs: Oversee and manage the organizations global mobility programs, which include international assignments, relocations, and immigration processes.
  • HRIS Management: Leads the design, build and deployment of new practices in the organizations reward system and continuously evaluate the effectiveness with business leaders, HR Directors, and Business Partners.
  • Policy Compliance and Governance: Ensure all compensation and benefits programs comply with local, national, and international laws and regulations. Maintain and update global reward policies and ensure clear communication and adherence across the organization.
  • Diversity and Inclusion: Promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives to foster a culture of belonging and support diversity in the workplace.
  • HR Analytics: Utilizing reward data and analytics to drive informed decision-making, measure reward metrics, and continuously improve reward programs, processes, and initiatives.

You will hold a bachelor’s degree in human resource management, business administration, finance or a related field and be a chartered member of a relevant professional body. Whilst time-served is not a primary determinant, you are likely to have a minimum 5-7 years functional management experience, preferably with at least 3 in an international matrixed organization. You will hold exceptional industry knowledge, specialize in reward, remuneration or compensation, and hold strong thought leadership capability to lead the development of reward policies and practices in AAK.
To be successful in the role you will also need:
  • Strategic Thinking: Knowledge of the importance of "big picture" thinking and planning; ability to apply organizational acumen and competitiveness to identify and maintain focus on key success factors for the organization.
  • Budgeting: Knowledge of organization's budget process; ability to apply policies and practices for planning and administering a budget.
  • Compensation Management: Knowledge of compensation structure, and regulations and policies related to compensation; ability to design, implement and evaluate compensation programs, policies, and processes within an organization.
  • Business Case Justification: Knowledge of the how's and why's of preparing and justifying business cases and value propositions; ability to justify business expenditures by identifying cost, benefits, ROI, opportunities, and risks.
  • Benefit Programs: Knowledge of employee benefits programs, processes, issues, and considerations; ability to design and implement benefits programs.
  • Workforce Analytics: Knowledge of reward trends and issues; ability to analyze workforce data, information and metrics and apply the results to support business decisions.
