Job Description SummaryWe are searching for a Quality Systems Co-op to contribute to our Global Quality Systems group within our Corporate Quality team. This position will be based out of our Three Rivers Facility.
The Quality Systems Co-op will gain a broad understanding of AAM's process, products, procedures, and systems by supporting implementation of new initiatives in Quality Management Systems.
Job Description

• Learn about AAM Q4 Quality System
• Create and follow standardize work.
• Assist in launch validation by supporting program management & PPAP activities.
• Perform & Track PTR’s
• Tracking on-time activities through 4-square.
• Weekly report out on status of part number or rev changes.
• Update documentation for required change.
• Utilization of Quality Systems – SharePoint, APEX, IQS, IPF
• Interfaces with plant Quality, Engineering and Production Teams.
• Assist with Supplier Quality engineering activities associated with manufacturing FTQ and OEE loss.
• Assist with troubleshooting daily production defects through root cause analysis techniques as they occur.
• Issue PRR’s to suppliers for defects regarding line downtime.
• Capture downtime, driver, and sort cost to supplier issues.
• Implements safety and good housekeeping standards.
• Perform other tasks and duties as assigned by supervisor.

Required Skills And Education

• Pursuing undergraduate degree at an accredited university.
• Major preferred: Engineering.
• Minimum of 3.0 GPA.
• Job hours: 25 – 40 hours a week.
• Must be interested in pursuing a career in the automotive industry.
• Graduation of April 2025 or later.
• Computer proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and the ability to learn other programs used by various AAM departments.
• High level of analytical ability.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and high attention to detail and accuracy of information is required.
