AAMA is Hiring a Night Security Officer (North Campus) Near Houston, TX
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Texas Security Officer Certification
- Current, valid Texas Driver’s license in good standing
- Bilingual in Spanish
- Prefer previous security officer experience
- Monitors student or client behavior and enforces rules related to student/client conduct, vehicle operation and parking.
- Resolves conflicts or confrontations between students/others and reports disturbances to school principal/department supervisor immediately.
- Controls parking and traffic flow at AAMA locations. Enforces parking rules.
- Patrols buildings, parking areas and grounds to prevent theft, vandalism, disturbances and illegal entry.
- Assists in all investigations of breaches of security and initiates appropriate reports.
- Assists law enforcement personnel as needed.
- Assists in implementing and enforcing emergency plans as needed.
- Notifies police, fire department or other appropriate personnel of any situations requiring immediate attention. Administers first aide or CPR if needed.
- Accurately maintains daily patrol logs and other essential security forms and turns them in to supervisor as required.
- Greets visitors and checks them in and out of buildings as assigned. Gives direction or acts as guide to authorized visitors.
- Keeps assigned security equipment clean and in good working order. Reports to supervisor unsafe equipment or building/grounds immediately.
- Operates and monitors surveillance or other security equipment appropriately.
- Models appropriate professional behavior at all times.
- Issues parking decals and citations as needed per AAMA procedure.
- May assist in security of after-school/after hours and special events.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Door checks and locks check (Ensures all doors are Locked at all times)
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Inside and outside. Exposure to hot and cold temperatures, inclement weather and vehicle exhaust fumes while patrolling. Heavy interaction with the public
