Job Overview

Duties

- Utilize a variety of teaching methods and resources to create a stimulating and dynamic learning environment.
- Work closely with other teachers and staff to ensure a collaborative and cohesive educational approach.
- Provide support to students with special needs, including those with autism and other learning difficulties.
- Use learning technology to enhance the learning experience and promote student engagement.
- Develop and maintain a library of ESL materials and resources.
- Collaborate with the education administration team to develop and implement new ESL programs and policies.
- Create and maintain accurate and detailed records of student progress and lesson plans.
- Write reports and evaluations of student performance and progress.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
Skills
- Experience in teaching English as a second language, preferably to young learners.
- Strong knowledge of ESL methodologies and best practices.
- Excellent lesson planning and teaching skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and parents.
- Strong literacy and math skills, with the ability to adapt lessons to meet the needs of students with varying proficiency levels.
- Familiarity with behavior management strategies and the ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Experience working with children and young adults, including those with autism and other learning difficulties.
- Proficiency in learning technology and educational software.
- Strong administrative skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to write clear and concise reports and evaluations.
