ABA Life Center is Hiring a Medical Billing/Finance/Office Manager Near Florham Park, NJ

Join our dynamic team at ABA Life Center as our Billing/Financial/Office Manager! Collaborate closely with clinical and administrative teams to ensure seamless billing, payment, and overall business operations. We are seeking a hardworking, knowledgeable, detail-oriented team player who is looking to grow with our company. The ideal candidate will possess great critical thinking and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent organizational skills. We are looking for someone who will be self-motivated, reliable, flexible, and great at working on a variety of tasks for the company! This is an on-site job at our Florham Park location.

Qualifications Needed:

  • At least 3 years of medical billing experience, preferably ABA billing
  • Out-of-network medical billing experience required
  • Familiarity with the RCM process from start to finish (i.e., pre-authorization, eligibility and benefits verification, claims submission, payment posting, denial management, AR follow-up, and reporting)
  • Knowledgeable with processes for various types of health insurance companies such as Horizon BCBS, United Healthcare, Aetna, Cigna, etc.
  • Familiarity with health insurance payer portals/Navinet/Availity
  • Must have prior experience with obtaining and maintaining authorization requests for clients
  • Expertise in setting up, reviewing, and updating financial accounting systems and processes
  • Must be proficient with using Quickbooks or other bookkeeping software (Quickbooks experience preferred)
  • Prior experience using ABA practice management software (e.g., Rethink, Central Reach, etc.) is preferred
  • Must have prior experience with handling denials and appeals (i.e., making inquiries with insurance companies, writing letters as necessary, etc.)
  • Experience negotiating with health insurance carriers to ensure accurate claim payments and maximize reimbursements

Responsibilities include:

The main responsibility of this position is to monitor the RCM process from start to finish. This includes:

Billing

  • Obtaining prior authorization information in accordance with established guidelines
  • Calling insurance companies to verify benefits/managing and maintaining all authorization requests to ensure billing of claims.
  • Reviewing insurance plans with patients and families to help them understand coverage
  • Preparing, reviewing, and submitting claims using ABA practice management software or through paper claims submission
  • Following up on claim resolution from initial billing through final resolution including identifying and correcting billing errors/rejections and denials (denial management investigations & appeals)
  • Reconciling/posting payments to patient accounts

Bookkeeping

  • Maintaining detailed records of all financial transactions including journal entries and account reconciliation using Quickbooks
  • Managing all accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Monthly closing and creating financial reports (P/L, Balance Sheet, Trial Balance Sheet, etc.)
  • Preparing financial statements for CPA review, audit, and tax filing

**The desired candidate will also be expected to help with additional administrative tasks.
