This role requires a candidate with extensive experience in planning, architecting, and implementing IT solutions at an enterprise level. The candidate should have a strong understanding of Federal Enterprise Architecture programs and should be proficient in using a major EA repository tool.

Qualifications:

• Possesses minimum of ten (10) years of planning/architecting IT solutions, ten (10) years of designing and implementing enterprise-scale IT solutions.
• Demonstrates strong knowledge of Federal Enterprise Architecture programs (principles, concepts, transition strategies) at one or more Federal government agencies, including business, data and technical architectures.
• Possesses a minimum of five years’ experience developing or designing enterprise-scale technical solutions.
• Has a major EA framework certification (FEAF, TOGAF, etc.)
• Proficiency with a major EA repository tool
• Demonstrates strong knowledge of advances in tools and techniques in platforms, hardware and software including SaaS, cloud computing, and system architectures.

Responsibilities:

• Provide architecture development services including stakeholder interviews, facilitating meetings, facilitating workshops, or other collaborative sessions to elicit information and resolve architecture-related questions among stakeholders.
• Maintain, develop, and communicate current state and targeted Enterprise Architectures (EAs) that are used to align IT strategy, plans, projects, services, systems, and technologies with the mission, goals, capabilities, structure, and processes of the organization.
• Contribute to the development of Technology Roadmaps for major enterprise capabilities which describe the transition from current state to targeted architectures over the next five (5) years.
• Identify and develop required roadmaps
• Perform market research as necessary to support technology roadmap development
• Enhance and update the EA as a blueprint to identify and align investments in people, processes, and technologies with strategic priorities, targeted capabilities and improved performance, including input to enterprise leadership presentations.
• Identify gaps between current and target architectures that provide input to technology roadmaps, including the identification and scoping of improvement initiatives (e.g. projects, change tasks, and their interdependencies).
• High level assessment of impact and effort (staff, schedule, resources).
• Identify dependencies that impact current and future technology roadmaps.
• Identify strategic outcomes and how they tie to LOC enterprise strategies
• Assisting in the research, evaluation and recommendation of technologies being considered for inclusion in solution architectures to improve business and technology operations.
