Our client is a financial services firm. They seek an Accounts Payable Associate to join their Manhattan, NY office.
Responsibilities
- Process all forms of payment including wires or checks for vendors
- Work with vendors on research items, stop payments, and vendor maintenance
- Liaise with vendors to resolve issues on a timely and professional basis
- Assess expense reports in Concur for accuracy and appropriateness
- Complete Form-1099s at year-end
- Maintain W-9 files including proactive follow-up with vendors
- Prepare and maintain IT and marketing budget
- Produce and submit quarterly rent tax and sales tax filings
- File invoices and provide documents for year-end audits or sales tax audits
- Reconcile corporate credit card and FedEx invoices
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- 3-5 years of accounts payable experience
- Financial services industry experience preferred
- Detail-oriented and high degree of accuracy
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Skilled in Traverse accounting software preferred
- Strong Excel skills, specifically V Lookups and Pivots
