Our client is a private equity firm. They seek an Assistant Controller to join their Manhattan, NY office.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of fund accounting and financial reporting
• Work with fund administrator and review their work
• Understand structure and tax issues for funds and blockers
• Handle fund performance reporting and calculations
• Manage financial statement review and audit coordination
• Understand LPA and side letters to help monitor compliance
• Correspond with Limited Partners and respond to ad hoc requests
• Collaborate closely with Portfolio Company CFOs/ Controllers
• Ensure compliance with credit facility terms
• Review partnership Form K-1s and returns and corporate entity returns

Requirements

• 5 years of accounting experience
• Private equity industry background
• Organized with keen attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills
• CPA strongly preferred
