Our client is a loan brokerage. They seek an AVP, Internal Audit to join their Manhattan, NY office.

Responsibilities

• Maintain compliance with audit methodology and operate within industry best practices
• Participate in the walkthrough meetings with stakeholders to understand business processes
• Liaise with stakeholders through audit engagements to communicate status or concerns
• Pinpoint potential risks and controls and assist in developing scope and work programs
• Assess the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls and identify weaknesses
• Make observations that convey the significance and impact of risks and risk management
• Prepare workpapers and reports and document results using business and technical language
• Deliver work products that meet objectives, methodology, and applicable standards
• Build relationships with peers and clients and uphold a high standard of professional conduct

Requirements

• 4 years of audit experience
• Experience auditing a trading desk
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Organized, analytical, and detail-oriented
• Skilled in Excel/Access/Alteryx/PowerB
