Our client is a bank. They seek a Financial Reporting Officer to join their Manhattan, NY office.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review high-quality Form 10-K and Form 10-Q filings and earnings release
• Stay up to date on ASCs, SEC regulations, and regulatory reporting requirements
• Complete and document research on complex accounting and reporting matters
• Maintain the GAAP checklist and ensure financial statements follow requirements
• Work with auditors and serve as a point of contact on technical accounting issues
• Support SOX 404 compliance requirements and appropriate process for SOX 404 reporting
• Handle the accounting and reporting for stock-based compensation plans under ASC 718

Requirements

• 8 years of financial reporting experience
• SEC reporting (10k and 10q) background
• Financial services industry background preferred
• Advanced US GAAP understanding
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Motivated and strong process-improvement abilities
• CPA strongly preferred
• Skilled in Excel
