Our client is a non-profit organization. They seek a Human Resources Coordinator to join their Manhattan, NY office.

Responsibilities

• Handle new hires, terminations, and other changes using Paychex My Staffing Pro
• Work with Business Managers, Treasury Supervisors, Accounting Coordinators, etc.
• Resolve all issues related to bargaining and non-bargaining employees
• Run new and maintain employee records in Paychex Flex for assigned schools
• Manage new hire onboarding including payroll, benefits, and new hire orientations
• Process employee terminations following established procedure
• Answer employee questions via email, phone, or a combination thereof
• Ensure proper completion of required documents for employee's leaves of absence
• Develop and run reports and analyses using Excel spreadsheets
• Complete special projects and other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business or HR
• 2-3 years of Human Resources experience
• Experience working with union contracts
• General understanding of HR best practices
• A self-starter and results-driven
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Analytical, organized, and detail-oriented
• Able to multitask and meet deadlines
• Skilled in MS Office Suite
