Our client is an investment banking firm. They are looking for a VP, Corporate Events to join their Manhattan, NY office.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and execute events, including conferences, seminars, and corporate meetings
• Develop a comprehensive events strategy aligned with the firm’s overall goals and objectives
• Manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to financial goals
• Supervise members of the events management team and foster a results-driven culture
• Maintain relationships with vendors, negotiate contracts, and manage vendor performance
• Identify potential risks associated with events and develop strategies to mitigate them
• Work with external partners and key stakeholders to ensure alignment on event objectives
• Stay current on events trends, implementing new tools and processes to enhance efficiency
• Complete post-event evaluations and gather feedback for continuous improvement
• Implement crisis management plans, ensuring the ability to handle unexpected challenges

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
• 5 years of events and meeting planning experience
• Financial services industry background
• Able to ideate, create, plan, and execute events
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Able to build professional relationships
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Cvent
• Ability to travel as needed
