Job Description
Our client s Aeronautics Systems sector is currently seeking Composite Laminator 1 based in El Segundo, CA. This role is for a hands-on person with great attention to detail, top focus on quality and excellent people skills.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Fabricate composite parts, which may include bonding prep, tool prep, ply kit generation, lamination, vacuum bagging, de-molding, trimming, and part handling
Handle perishable materials, paying close attention to expiration dates, out time life, and traceability information
Follows all planning, visual aids, and process work instructions. These instructions, in combination with part specific tooling, are used to fabricate composite parts and bonded assemblies.
Operate handheld tools. (e.G.) Scissors, razor knives, grinders, drills, sanders, cutting wheels, etc.
Excels in a team environment, supports other departments or completes other duties as necessary
Work in both FOE critical and FOE sensitive environments and observe all related safety procedures
Maintain a clean and safe working environment
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED and 1 year of composite manufacturing/fabrication experience or approved composites certificate program.
Basic computer skills, proficiency in Microsoft applications
Must be able to perform moderate strenuous physical and repetitious work to include bending, stooping, kneeling, lifting to 50 pounds.
Ability to work flexible/changing schedules including weekends.
Ability to work in El Segundo, CA
Must have a valid driver s license and current state required minimum vehicle insurance coverage to drive onto Client and Company property.
Preferred Skills:
Composite fabrication experience in an aerospace, military, manufacturing and/or maintenance environment
Demonstrated mechanical ability and able to work under limited supervision
Be able to operate autoclave and curing ovens
Pay Range:
The pay range for this position is $21.00-$25.00 per hour; however, the pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This pay information is being provided pursuant to applicable law and is based in part on market location.
