The Information Technology Division (ITD) of The Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) conducts a wide range of Research and Development (R&D) efforts which require the support of multiple facility operations and coordination of task efforts, scheduling, budgeting and execution of assigned ITD projects.
SCOPE
The Contractor shall provide comprehensive computer/technical, program management, and financial/budget support to the Information Technology Division. The contractor shall provide technical and operational, support of ITD's computer hardware, software, and network infrastructure. The contractor shall provide financial/budget support to ensure compliance with NRL Financial Management requirements and tracking, monitoring, and reporting of specific ITD projects and overall ITD budget. Under no circumstances will any work under this task order be used to perform work of a policy, decision making or managerial nature that is a direct responsibility of agency officials.
TASK DESCRIPITIONS
•The Contractor shall provide IT Support services required to support, maintain, and upgrade the ITD computer and network environment.
•The Contractor shall install software as needed to permit common office tasks on new or re-purposed computers to include anti-virus, office software, printer and/or scanner driver, etc.
•The Contractor shall configure and update ITD desktop and laptop computer systems to safely and appropriately operate on NRL NiceNet (IP address, DNS, etc.)
•The Contractor shall maintain compliance with Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVA) and with Information Assurance Vulnerability Bulletin (IVAB) as part of the NRL Assurance and Vulnerability Management.
•The Contractor shall participate in technical review, planning design and implementation for new network infrastructure hardware and network operating systems for voice and data communication networks.
•The Contractor shall provide technical consultation, training and support to IT staff as designated by the government. The Contractor shall support diagnose and resolve complex network communication problems. Skill set info •Minimum relevant experience of ten years.
•A minimum of seven years of directly related experience in the specification and setup of domains, servers, Ethernet networks and remote access systems.
o Working knowledge of Java, JavaScript, PHP, and PERL to support networking solutions.
o Working knowledge to set up, configure and maintain computer operation in NRL NiceNet environment.
o Working knowledge to develop graphically oriented solutions to internal Intranet needs.
•Demonstrated capability to maintain compliance with Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVA) and with Information Assurance Vulnerability Bulletin (IVAB) as part of the NRL Assurance and Vulnerability Management.
•Experienced in planning design, technical review and implementation for new network infrastructure hardware and network operating systems to ensure the network is securely and appropriately operated.
•Experienced in providing technical consultation, training and support to IT staff as designated by the government. Education Minimum B.S. in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science. Certifications (if required) Security Clearance:
