Spit for Science: The VCU Student Survey started in fall 2011 and we are about to launch the new cohort enrollment for incoming freshmen. Students will be invited to participate take a 15–30-minute online survey as well as attend our events to pick up cash compensation, receive free tokens of appreciation (t-shirts, etc), and so they can provide a DNA saliva sample (optional).

We are looking for people with excellent computer skills, attention to detail, and customer service skills to help carry out these events.

The job involves checking student IDS, looking students up in a database to confirm participation, giving students their cash payments, telling students about a raffle opportunity, helping students provide their DNA samples, verifying correct labeling of DNA tubes, providing cash compensation for providing a DNA sample, and entering all stages of the process in the computer.

Training will include learning about the project, computer system/database training, payment training, online training/test for working with human subjects, and learning the various tasks to be done. Parking passes will be provided.
