Health Care Technician Senior (HCT) for the implementation and monitoring of program standards, goals, policies, and procedures for its laboratory services.

J OB DUTIES :

• Oversees the operation for waived lab testing with provider performed microscopy procedures as defined in CLIA regulations.
• Make decisions concerning laboratory problems and initiates necessary corrective action; performs quality assurance, quality control and safety oversight for the clinic lab;

and provides competency assessment on clinical lab testing and procedures.

Additional duties consist of performing routine clinical tasks and assist providers as needed; collection of laboratory specimens;

clinical laboratory testing and performing venipuncture.

• The ability to communicate well with staff and work with diverse populations is a must.
• Occasional home visiting may be required to follow up with patients’ needs and services.
• May also assist in Epidemiological and Bioterrorist response.
• HCT must be knowledgeable about managing and implementing laboratory program and procedures. Must have evidence of specific training in performing laboratory procedures.
