As a Technical Sales Support (TSS) professional, you act as the subject matter expert for the ABB E-Mobility hardware, software, and services needed to meet the customer’s EV Charger design requirements. As part of the TSS team, you will be working together with the Account Sales Management, Sales Operations -Quoting & Proposal, Product Management, and Project Management teams to design and select a complete solution of ABB E-mobility hardware, software, and services.
This role is based REMOTE US with a target salary of$118,000-$125,000 USD annual plus bonus
Position Responsibilities
Sales and Customer Support

• Accountable for generating, developing, and securing sales of our E-mobility Product Group Electrical Vehicle Charging Infrastructure and EV-Chargers to End Users, Contractors, Distributors, Utilities, Network providers, OEM’s and Construction and Industry Companies.
• Work with account sales managers and technical sales support team to create and deliver technical presentations, demonstrations, and training sessions for customers.
• Support RFI and RFP requests from new and existing customers, by obtaining information, conducting analysis of requirements, and providing input to response quote tendered.
• Responsible for participating in risk reviews with Account Sales Managers, Legal, Product Management, Finance and Services teams.
• Provide support pre and post sales product delivery, placement, installation, commissioning, and handover to SLA provider where and when needed.

Technical Expertise

• Serve as a subject matter expert on EV charging application, leveraging deep technical knowledge to address complex challenges and optimizing overall EV charging performance.
• Deep understanding of electrical distribution systems including one-line diagrams, circuit breakers and controls, basic understanding of TCP/IP networks and its topologies, embedded software/ firmware combined with ability to learn fast in that domain.
• Collaborate with Product Management and Product Marketing to evaluate new technologies and assess technical risk to inform product development decisions.
• Engage with Product Management and sales teams to identify market trends, customer feedback and competitive insights to inform product strategy and roadmap.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements related to the EV charging infrastructure.

Qualifications Required

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering,
• Minimum three (3) years’ experience in an engineering role preferably in application engineering within the electrical/power electronics industries, preferably in the EV or solar industry.
• Deep understanding of electrical distribution systems including one-line diagrams, circuit breakers and controls, basic understanding of TCP/IP networks and its topologies, embedded software/ firmware combined with ability to learn fast in that domain.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings.
