POSITION: Enrollment/ Multilingual Education Administrative AssistantSCHOOL YEAR: 2024-2025REPORTS TO: ESL DirectorAbby Kelley Foster Charter Public School seeks an experienced, collaborative, and energetic administrative assistant to join the district for a position as an English as a SEnrollment and Multilingual Education Administrative Assistant. Abby Kelley Foster Charter Public School (AKFCS) provides an education to 1426 students in grades kindergarten through twelve, comprising an Elementary, Middle and High School. In support of our objective, Abby Kelley Foster Charter Public School will:●Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:●Handling questions, issues and providing detailed information on requirements, processes, and policies.●Collecting information and qualifying candidates for enrollment, programs, and/or services.●Ensuring that applications are completed correctly and that the required supporting materials have been provided.●Entering, updating, and reviewing data and records.●Providing guidance and recommendations to applicants and prospective candidates.●Corresponding with applicants and prospective candidates.●Processing enrollments and dis-enrollments.●Conducting information sessions.●Evaluates situations (e.g. involving other staff, students, parents, the public, etc.) for the purpose of taking appropriate action and/or directing to appropriate personnel for resolutions.●Maintains a variety of computerized and manual records, files, and school databases (e.g. information packets, rosters/listings, calendars, etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities, providing reliable information and complying with district, state and federal requirements.●Delivers and/or sorts incoming mail.●Performs record keeping and general clerical functions (e.g. scheduling, copying, faxing, mailings, etc.) for the purpose of providing information and/or materials as needed.●Works with the team to help with any miscellaneous clerical functions as needed.●Responds to inquiries from a wide variety of internal and external parties (e.g. staff, parents, students, public agencies, etc.) for the purpose of providing information, facilitating communication among the team and/or providing direction as may be required.●Attends meetings as assigned for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform functions.●Distribute school wide communications both internally and externally using a variety of forms of communication.●Processing and entering student attendance and data.●Perform any additional duties, as assigned.Preferred Qualifications: ●Ability to demonstrate a professional and friendly demeanor at all times.●Ability to work under limited supervision using standardized practices and/or methods.●Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Suite.●High level of organizational skills.●The ability to have patience, caring and empathy when relating to staff and community.●Effective oral and written communication with a high degree of accuracy.●Ability to maintain strict confidentiality. ●Ability to work both independently and cooperatively, exercise judgment and creativity and willingness to work with others as a team●Ability to work effectively under pressure from the public, workload, and employees.●Customer service experience is beneficial.●Bilingual (Portuguese and/or Spanish preferred)●High school diploma/GED required.●Current authorization to work in the United States. Compensation:Full Time Position at a rate of $29.99 per hour.
