We are looking for an enthusiastic, detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Medical Scribe. The Medical Scribe is a vital member of the medical staff, who not only assists physicians with paperwork but also operates their EHR system.

A Medical Scribes' responsibilities include collaborating with physicians and performing clerical tasks like printing out lab reports, referrals , sending medications, shadowing provider and operating electronic health records, and anticipating the needs of the physician to ensure efficiency in a clinical setting.

You’ll be required to fill out summaries of what was discussed during the consultation.

Requirements and skills

• Advanced computer skills to transcribe and record information across our network
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to handle high-pressure situations effectively
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• High school diploma or GED
• Applicants should have a minimum typing speed of 45 WPM and be able to operate a personal computer and applicable software with ease
• Working proficiency in English (Bilingual) is a must.
• Medical Scribes will work under the supervision of the provider in the exam room to record detailed information in the electronic medical record
• Communicates with patient and provider in a professional manner
• Recording patient care documentation in the medical record accurately and in a timely manner
• Acts as an assistant to the provider and collects information from the patient during their visit
• Obtaining new patient records and previous test results, x-rays, scans, etc.
• Works with the provider to complete and submit medical records
• Respecting patient confidentiality at all times

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $12.00 - $13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
