Summary

Responsibilities include providing analytical assistance to Accounting Department staff; general ledger closings; preparation and review of internal and external reports; assisting coordination of physical inventories; and performing other projects as assigned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Assists with monthly General Ledger closings, which includes journal entries, complex reconciliations, and review of revenue and expenses.

· Preparation, review and issuance of monthly financial and operational reports and provide responses to report related questions.

· Monthly review of trial balance reports.

· Prepares and or reviews internal\external reports prior to distribution.

· Assist with pro-formas for new Store locations.

· Assist with preparation of semi-annual Store projections.

· Assists with the review, analysis and compilation of semi-annual physical inventory results.

· Works with accounting staff and other departments to resolve issues.

· Assist in administering Accounting related software, including general ledger, report writer, and lease management software.

· Prepares various analyses as requested by management.

· Respond to questions from Operations and Stores.

· Assists with conducting periodic finance training classes.

· Work with banks and merchants in setting up new Store locations.

· Performs other duties as assigned.

· Ability to work independently and resolve issues utilizing available resources.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Excel experience using data query functions such as pivot tables and V-Lookup preferred.

Qualifications

· B.B.A. in Accounting

· Public Accounting experience preferred

· Proficient in the application of Microsoft Excel and Word

· Five years of progressive accounting experience preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
