What is ABCD looking for in a Director of Integrated Marketing & Communications?

At ABCD & Company (ABCD), we reimagine the way our clients do marketing and events. Our team of inspiring leaders is dedicated to “Think Brand and Think Big”. We are looking to expand that team with a Director of Integrated Marketing & Communications. This person is a masterful and compelling storyteller who excels at translating stories into brilliant programming and marketing campaigns that demonstrate ROI and impact for our clients and the ABCD brand. In addition, this person is competent in submitting remarkable pitches and developing winning proposals within the marketing service line. This all-star will report directly to the Chief Marketing Officer. A day in the life includes: leading, planning, creating, and overseeing marketing/advertising and communications strategy and operations; examining marketing campaigns and their various analytics for ROI and assessment purposes; solving dynamic, unique types of brand and business challenges using integrated marketing approaches, leading and positively influencing the core marketing team, collaborating with a highly creative and passionate team. The salary range for this position is $90,000 -$100,00.

  • Translating problem statements into compelling storytelling, ideas and actions that drive successful KPI’s and exceed client goals
  • Leveraging target audience data to assess and understand the marketing priorities that will drive the best results
  • Developing personalized advertising experiences that facilitate brand equity for clients/ABCD
  • Creating communication plans (digital and traditional) using research and insights regarding clients/ABCD target audiences
  • Ensuring precision of marketing messages that are implemented at the right time, to the right audience, and using the right channels
  • Expressing a great sense of empathy and emotional tone in the marketing and advertising approaches
  • Providing leadership in helping clients/ABCD executive team understand how strategies and plans impact sales and ensure output is in sync with goals
  • Building and sustaining excellent client rapport on behalf of ABCD
  • Providing recommendations and ensuring optimization of marketing tech stack
  • Reviewing metrics for key channels and campaigns and synthesizing key insights and recommendations to enhance future initiatives. This includes reporting on concluded campaigns and presenting results
  • Serving as a thought - partner to the CMO to execute ABCD brand management and marketing planning process and workflows, new product/service development, positioning concepts, segmentation, marketing planning, creative execution, message distribution, measurement, and optimization
  • Providing advisement on how marketing activities are impacted by the changing of privacy laws
    KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
    Required and preferred knowledge and experiences to succeed.
    Education
    • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Advertising, Marketing, Business, or related field
    • 8 years of experience working in agency or client environment
    Work Experience
    • Client management experience
    • Experience with multi-channel marketing tactics and campaign development/management
    • Evidence of award-winning campaigns and subject matter expertise
    • Previous experience supporting business development/sales in agency environment
    • Excellent writing, copywriting, and copy-editing skills
    • Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion experience (a plus)
