Job SummaryCollect appropriate specimen for diagnostic testing. Process specimens for transport to reference laboratory for specialized testing with necessary paperwork and documentations. Operate and maintain a variety of automated analyzers according to standard operating procedure. Collect data, prepare reports, answer correspondence and compile statistics as directed by the laboratory supervisor. Work effectively in a team environment, coordinating work flow with other team members.
Education and/or Experience
Minimum of a Bachelor Degree in Medical Laboratory Science. Completion of a clinical internship as part of degree program.
Licensure/Certification/Registration
National Certification: MLS (ASCP) or equivalent. Certification must be obtained within 12 months of hire date.
Work Schedule
Day/Evening shifts; 72 hours every 2 weeks
Between the hours of
7:30 am - 8:00 pm - No Overnights! Shifts vary between 8 hours - 11 hours Every 3rd weekend and holiday
Pay
The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
$27.50 - $41.50 per hour
