ABH Manufacturing is Hiring an Estimator Near Itasca, IL

Job DescriptionSummary:
  • The Estimator executes the estimating projects for the company, creating customer price lists and quoting orders. The team member will be responsible for answering internal and external stakeholders’ questions related to pricing, new projects, and customers. They play a key role in creating a positive and welcoming impression.
Responsibilities:
  • Creating estimates that are competitive while maintaining profitability.
  • Creating customer quotes based on the company’s discount program for ABH|FCBP.
  • Work with the Business Development team and internal stakeholders to develop proposals.
  • Collaborate with team members from different departments to complete an estimate.
  • Effective communication with clients, suppliers, and team members during and after the quoting process.
  • Familiarized with entering quotes based on the requirements pertaining to a specific job or customer.
  • Maintaining organized and detailed records of cost estimates, assumptions, and supporting documentation for future reference for similar projects.
  • Providing new customers with company information and procedures.
  • Determining the profitability of current and potential projects.
  • Monitor the financial performance of implemented pricing strategies, analyzing actual outcomes against projected results.
  • Handling discrepancies between estimated costs and actual expenses and verifying the accuracy of information provided by clients/stakeholders during the estimation process.
  • Ensuring that estimates account for potential fluctuations in material costs/labor rates.
  • Creating risk assessments during the estimation process.
Must Haves:
  • Capacity to manage multiple tasks, prioritize responsibilities, very organized and meet deadlines.
  • Be able to decipher part numbers, attentive to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, Etc.)
  • Outstanding Mathematical Analysis Skills
  • Ability to adapt or revise an estimate due to unforeseen circumstances or change requests from customers.
  • Proficiency in communicating and adapting style to suit different audiences with ability to convey complex information in a clear manner.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously and thrive in team settings.
  • Good leadership and problem-solving skills
Education and Experience:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Estimator or Pricing Analyst.
