Able Industrial Products. Inc is Hiring a Machine Operator - Slitting Machine Near Ontario, CA
Title:Machine Operators (Slitter, Rotary Die, Punch Press, Preco Department: Production Laminator, WaterJet, Laser, Skiver, and/or the Printed Rotary Machine) Job Description: The purpose of the machine operators is to produce manufactured items utilizing appropriate machine tools in compliance with: The Manufacturing Operation Procedures (MOP), and in accordance with AS9100 Rev D requirements and the machine tool manufacturer's operation instructions. The Machine Operators will report to the Shop Foreman. Trained Machine Operators will be given the responsibility to properly train others. Duties & Responsibilities
Perform daily Preventive Maintenance and Safety inspections prior to starting machines operation in compliance with machine tool builder's recommendations.
Responsible for proper and safe operation of respective machine tool.
Ability to specialize in one machine but not limited to being cross trained in multiple and/or all machines.
Verifying on-hand material with paperwork prior to processing and beginning the order.
Ensure proper machine "set-up" utilizing the appropriate tooling and safety devices.
Complete all the component stages of production by performing set-up, cutting of product, and the converting/manufacturing of the final product/job.
Follow through with First Piece Inspection with Quality Inspector.
Responsible for producing product as stated on the Level 3 document.
Return material to stock or designated area in a timely matter to be properly return to stock.
Report and verify raw material and labor is reported on J/T is accurate and in the ERP system.
Stage and forward material and Level 3 document to packaging department.
Keep working area, well organized and clean
Always remain compliant with the company safety policies and AS9100 Rev D requirements
Skills & Qualifications
Minimum one-year experience with similar machine tools with demonstrated operating capabilities
Proficient in English (ability to read & write)
Basic Computer Skills/Data Entry required.
Basic AutoCad and Solidwork experience
Must be proficient in metric and imperial measurements and basic mathematics, including converting fractions.
Knowledgeable using Measuring Tools such as Calipers & Tape Measures
Competent to work independently
Communicate effectively, and problem solve spontaneously
High School/GED required
Preferred warehouse experience and/or vocational training in any mechanical/technical trade
Previous Forklift experience preferred
Overtime is possible with little to no advanced notice.
