Job Description:We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician specializing in motors and controls to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical systems, with expertise in motors and controls. Additionally, experience in welding, plumbing, and PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) programming is highly desirable.
Responsibilities:
- Motor Maintenance and Repair: Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain various types of motors used in industrial equipment and machinery.
- Control Systems Management: Install, program, and maintain control systems for machinery and equipment, ensuring efficient operation and optimal performance.
- Welding: Perform welding tasks as necessary for equipment repair and fabrication, adhering to safety and quality standards.
- Plumbing: Handle plumbing tasks related to equipment installation and maintenance, including pipe fitting and repair.
- PLC Programming (Plus): Utilize PLC programming skills to optimize equipment functionality, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements.
- Preventive Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on mechanical systems to identify and address potential issues before they escalate.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment specifications.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or relevant vocational training preferred.
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Technician, with a focus on motors and controls.
- Proficiency in welding techniques and equipment.
- Basic plumbing skills, including pipe fitting and repair.
- Familiarity with PLC programming (a plus).
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and reliability in completing tasks.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
