Key Responsibilities:
· Leadership and Supervision: Lead, supervise, and mentor a team of custodial staff, groundskeepers, engineers, and project managers. Provide direction and guidance to ensure that all work is performed efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards.
· Operational Oversight: Oversee all custodial, grounds, and engineering operations, ensuring that the facility is well-maintained and operational at all times. Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance programs.
· Project Management: Plan, schedule, and prioritize projects based on facility needs. Ensure that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
· Financial Management: Manage budgets for all custodial, grounds, and engineering operations. Oversee the procurement of materials and supplies, ensuring cost-effectiveness and high quality.
· Coordination and Collaboration: Work with other departments to coordinate maintenance and repair work, minimizing disruptions to facility operations. Ensure effective communication and collaboration between all teams.
· Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all operations comply with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company policies and procedures. Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance.
· Policy Development: Develop and implement policies and procedures related to facilities management, ensuring that all staff are aware of and adhere to these policies.
· Reporting and Documentation: Provide regular reports on the status of operations, projects, and financials to the Account Director. Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities and expenditures.
· Emergency Response: Coordinate and respond to facility emergencies, implementing contingency plans as needed. Ensure the team is prepared to handle emergencies effectively.
· Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for improvement in facilities management practices. Implement changes to enhance efficiency, safety, and quality.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. Equivalent work experience may be considered.
· At least seven years of experience in facilities management, with experience leading large, diverse teams.
· Strong project management skills, with experience planning and executing large-scale maintenance and repair projects.
· Excellent leadership and team-building skills, with a track record of motivating and managing staff to achieve goals.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, including staff, clients, and external vendors.
· Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations related to facilities management.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and develop effective solutions.
· Knowledge of budgeting and financial management principles.
· Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
· Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and other relevant software tools.
