Amalgamated Bank of Chicago is hiring an ACH Operations Specialist . This position is responsible for the processing, balancing, researching, and reporting of ACH within the Deposit Services area.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Monitor Deposit Services group email account for ACH transmittals, reversals, and overall correspondences.

• Submit timestamped ACH transmittals to Computer Services Area.

• Update all corresponding ACH logs and worksheets daily.

• Reconcile and store ACH totals daily.

• Process appropriate Debits/Credits to customer as they pertain to ACH Returns or Reversals.

• Respond to all ACH inquiries and requests in a timely manner, i.e., Reclamation Request.

• Notify Account Officers of all credit limit overages for approval.

• Communicate all possible delays or missing information to Account Officers for handling instructions.

• Complete all company assigned training by assigned deadline.

• Assist with performing department related tasks and complete special projects as needed.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

• High school diploma or equivalent (required)

• Three (3) years of experience which demonstrates a strong knowledge of banking and/or bookkeeping practices and procedures.
