Job Type: Contract 6 to 12 months. Possible conversion to full-time.

Pay Rate: US$30.60 - $41.31/hr W-2

Who we are looking for / Requirements:
Our client is seeking a Transportation Specialist. Under the guidance of the Logistics Manager, this position is responsible for a transactional part of the logistics cycle for all contracted and brokered loads: specifically (but not limited to) product shipments, exchanges, and release returns. This position ensures the smooth transportation of Client equipment in which third-party logistics providers are responsible for the shipments. Managing individual bookings and shipments, communicating directly with our Logistics Department, handling contracts, metrics, and load data, addressing invoice issues, and liaising between the NAM Logistics Department and Global Sourcing are among the higher priority duties.
Key components we are looking for
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:
A bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in a transportation-related program is preferred (a high school diploma or GED minimum requirement).
Minimum of five years of experience in a transportation-related field (logistics, freight, load brokerage, driver management, fleet, etc.)
Preferred experience using load boards, brokerage, and working with 3rd party logistics providers.
Ability to use business-specific software programs (SAP, Movilizer, Transplace, Uber Freight, Tableau, etc.)
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and Google Workspace applications.
Demonstrated Communication Skills And Customer Service Experience Required.Ability to work well with an internal team (Logistics Department) and external group (brokers).
Strong interaction skills, able to quickly and simply articulate concepts.
What you will do / Responsibilities:
In this highly visible role, you'll be responsible for:
Using SAP ERP and TMS, prepare and monitor load plans that direct the timely, efficient shipment, exchanges, and pickup/return of Client equipment.
Engage in communications with all parties to relay messaging around delays or issues concerning shipments.
Prepare and maintain monthly/quarterly reporting to calculate, track, and assess key transportation metrics to drive overall transportation improvement.
Works with carriers and third-party logistics providers to ensure efficient and timely transportation, engaging shippers to improve pickup and delivery performance.
Prepare and update Standard Operating Procedures for documenting department activities.
Manage the Contract Hauler Tracker and the Contract Hauler Master Sheet, which are used for monthly reports and to generate Contract Hauler Agreements for our third-party logistics providers.
Send Contract Hauler Agreements to our third-party logistics providers for each booked load.
Develop a good rapport with our third-party logistics providers and carriers.
Receive signed paperwork (Bill of Ladings and Work Orders) from loads completed by contract haulers. Ensure these documents are appropriately uploaded into SAP.
Work as a liaison between the NAM Logistics Department and Global Sourcing to seek continuous process improvements, implement new contracted lanes, and use the global TMS (Uber Freight/Transplace).
Work with EnVista and our sourcing team to ensure that invoices from our third-party logistics providers are accurately processed and paid promptly.
Manage operational moves (Client to Client) and project moves as needed.
Keep track of insurance certificates and all other relevant documentation for our third-party logistics providers.
Serve as an information resource for all areas of the business by providing projects #s, delivery #s, costs, job site information, and other data related to transportation.
Crosstrain with Logistics Admin to cover vacations/time off. These items will be more specific to Client company drivers and payroll.
