  • Salary range $43,680 depending on experience
  • Second Shift Hours: 3:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.

Maintenance Mechanic OverviewAs a Manufacturing Maintenance Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing facilities. Your primary responsibility will be to perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment to minimize downtime and maintain productivity. You will work closely with production teams to identify and address maintenance needs efficiently.
Equipment MaintenanceMaintenance Mechanic Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct routine inspections of machinery to identify potential issues.
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic problems and perform repairs promptly.
  • Replace defective parts, components, or systems as needed.
  • Calibrate machinery and equipment to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
Troubleshooting:
  • Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and troubleshoot issues to determine root causes.
  • Analyze equipment malfunctions using schematics, diagrams, and technical manuals.
  • Implement corrective actions to resolve issues and prevent future occurrences.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance technicians and engineers to address complex problems.
Documentation And Reporting
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, replacements, and inspections.
  • Document equipment specifications, operating procedures, and maintenance schedules.
  • Generate reports on equipment performance, downtime, and maintenance costs.
  • Provide input for continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.
Safety And Compliance
  • Adhere to safety protocols and procedures while performing maintenance activities.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
  • Identify potential safety hazards and take appropriate measures to mitigate risks.
  • Participate in safety training programs and promote a culture of safety awareness.
Collaboration And Communication
  • Work closely with production teams to prioritize maintenance tasks and minimize disruptions to operations.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, peers, and other stakeholders to coordinate maintenance activities.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to production staff on equipment operation and maintenance best practices.
Maintenance Mechanic Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance preferred.
  • Proven experience as a maintenance mechanic in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing industrial equipment.
  • Working knowledge of electrical systems, including wiring diagrams, circuits, and electrical components.
  • Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems and their maintenance requirements.
  • Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and respond to maintenance emergencies as needed.
Maintenance Mechanic Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and perform physical tasks requiring bending, stooping, kneeling, and climbing.
  • Comfortable working in various environments, including confined spaces, heights, and areas with exposure to noise, dust, and chemicals.
  • Proficient use of hand and power tools, as well as diagnostic equipment.
