ABR Employment Services is Hiring a Metal Finisher Near Horicon, WI
Compensation
- $21.99 – $25.96 depending on experience
- Monday – Friday: Start at 5:00 am End at 1:30 pm / 2:30 pm / 3:30 pm
- Saturday, if needed: 5:00 am to 11:00 am
- Cleans and prepares welds and surfaces.
- Reads Drawings for where to grind and what finish is specified.
- Grinds, files, or sands surfaces of metal items, such as electrical enclosures, using hand tools, power tools and knowledge of metal finishing techniques: Examines and feels surface of metal to detect defects, such as dents, scratches or breaks in metal.
- Removes dents, using hammers and dolly blocks.
- Smooths surface of item to specified finish, using had tools and power tools.
- Polish metal surfaces sing powered polishing wheel or belt. 7. Grind, sand, clean or polish objects or parts to correct defects or to prepare surfaces for further finishing, using hand tools and power tools.
- Load and adjust workpieces onto equipment or worktables.
- Measure and mark equipment, objects, or parts to ensure grinding and polishing standards are met.
- Start, Stop or Adjust equipment during grinding and polishing processes.
- Performs first-piece and in-process inspection by checking dimensions of part per drawing and using calipers and tape measure.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical standards, and specifications.
- Proficient in the use of various basic hand tools and power tools.
- Position requires up to 8 hours of standing, holding, operating power sanders and grinders.
- Ability to lift 50 Lbs. when handles part by hand or up to 75 Lbs. with hoists and handling devices.
- Will need to wear gloves, apron, safety toe shoes, ear protection and face shield.
