Business Operations Manager Onsite, Hybrid, Vancouver, WA
We seek a driven Business Operations Manager to join our Business Development team. You will significantly enable Absci's sales and marketing process, supporting Business Development, Alliance and Growth Strategy, and Marketing. You will leverage your business and strategic mindset coupled with knowledge of life sciences to enable the team's ability to foster new alliances, partnerships, and collaborations; evaluate competitors and new opportunities; and partner with the technical team to build out publication and conference attendance strategies with strong evidence creation for our platform and pipeline. In addition, you will use your attention to detail, efficient communication skills, and software skills to support Business Development, Alliance and Growth Strategy, and Marketing operations by tracking and coordinating ongoing activities and generating status reports for our executive leadership team.

Responsibilities Business Excellence
- Work with the Business Development team to design, optimize, and implement a successful and repeatable sales process utilizing a CRM
- Track and evaluate process effectiveness and implement continuous improvements for improved sales conversion rates
- Support corporate strategy, long range planning and deal committee processes, including but not limited to: asset and portfolio risk assessment, program valuation (ie., revenue and cost assessment, NPV calculation, etc), and departmental budget control and coordination of external secondary market research to inform internal market and program assessments.
Brand quality and awareness
- In collaboration with the Innovation Center develop an evidence generation effort road map and conference strategy that amplifies business activities through scientific communication.
- Coordinate the continuous updates to material highlighting Absci's platform's unique functional capabilities through liaising with Marketing, Business Development and technical teams.
Competitive Intelligence
- Support Alliance and Growth strategy through the generation of competitive intelligence reports; assessment of indication landscapes, and tracking the latest breakthroughs in the field
Day-to-day tasks include data entry, data maintenance, business analysis of potential partners and competitors, business project management associated with conference attendance, and running sales outreach workflows.
Qualifications - A Bachelor degree in a business, biology or related field with 3-5 years experience in biotech/pharma, business development, or competitive intelligence. MBA preferred.
- Background or basic understanding of biotechnology/pharmaceutical industry, preferred
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate business data
- Proficient powerpoint, data analysis and excel skills with familiarity with Sharepoint and automation workflows preferred
- Detail oriented, with a propensity to apply 'systems thinking' to your work
- Analytical and problem-solving skills, including an ability to combine attention to detail with a big picture perspective
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
The salary range for this position is $103,000 - $135,000/year. Competitive equity package applies. Pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
