General Job Title: Utility ForemanOriginal Date: May 2024Department: Absolute GroupRevised Date: Basic Function and Scope of Responsibilities: A Utility Foreman will assist in the supervision of all jobsite underground utility operations while monitoring productivity and safety compliance. You will supervise the layout, assembly, and installation of all types of pipes, including water, storm, and sewer pipes. You will be responsible for project specifications with the jobsite superintendent as well as sequencing the schedule for pipe installation.Principal Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate utility crew of 5 to 7
Supervise the use of heavy equipment to excavate, install and backfill drainage pipe
Coordinate and supervise the proper installation of pipes among other jobsite activities
Constantly assess job site, equipment, and personnel for potential hazards and safety concerns
Communicate effectively with team members, contractors, and vendors
Report and accidents or incidents to management
Document and report electronic timecards for crew members
Maintain professional relationships with all customers, contractors, superintendents and crew
Performs other duties as assigned

High School Diploma or equivalent
Valid Class A CDL Driver’s License and clear driving record
1-3 years related work experience
OSHA 30 certification preferred
Performance Requirements:Knowledge:
Complete understanding of job task sequencing/critical timeline scheduling
Mechanical and maintenance is critical to perform general maintenance and repairs to equipment
Excellent organizational and time management skills and attention to detail
