They must be able to communicate effectively to understand the problem and explain its solution at the client level. They must also be client-oriented and patient to deal with difficult clients.

Absolute Logic (ALIT) is looking for a Technology Support Specialist on a full time, permanent basis for our Wilton CT market (you will need to live within 40 miles of our Wilton CT offices . As a Technology Support Specialist, you will work directly with team members, customers and partners providing expertise in hardware and software installations, troubleshooting and configuration recommendations. This position reports to the Director of Operations/Service Delivery . **Please note, while this role may allow candidates who will work out of their home/remote office, you might be expected to travel to our Wilton CT/NYC market to client sites 1-2x per week and/or as needed to best serve our clients; in those cases, all expenses will be paid for by the Company including Mileage. You must also have a reliable form of transportation, home internet and cell phone.**

**Key Responsibilities and Essential Functions**

* Exceptional customer service and organizational skills with a proven ability to manage multiple calls and tickets with minimal supervision

* Able to constantly balance multiple tickets and request in high pressure situations and will take escalations from Lv1 Techs

* Provides advanced level installation, support, and maintenance of servers, core infrastructure (switching, routing, firewall) and other computer systems

* Efficiently manages configuration of desktops, servers, core infrastructures and services (IIS, e-mail, AD, DNS, DHCP etc.)

* Assists with planning for and responding to client project needs when applicable

* Must be able to quickly and correctly diagnose problems with computer systems and introduce the best solution

* Ability to learn new technology quickly

* Will be responsible for taking calls on an On-Call rotation

* Travel to customers offices when needed (reliable transportation is required). All expenses will be reimbursed accordingly

* Must be punctual

* Proper attire for all video, onsite or other face-to-face meetings

**Required Experience**

* Minimum 3 years of experience in an IT support role

* Managed Service Provider (MSP) experience

* BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent related experience

* Supporting/troubleshooting end user hardware, software, and peripherals including printer/fax/scanner troubleshooting

* Experience working with a ticketing system (ConnectWise nice to have, or similar)

* Enterprise level networking (switching & routing) troubleshooting experience

* Microsoft Windows Server 2012 or later

* Microsoft Windows Server Roles: AD, DNS, DHCP, DFS, IIS, GPO

Office 365 administration knowledge or experience

* Hands on equipment experience (rack, and stack, physical wiring)

* Advanced performance analysis and troubleshooting skills and strong documentation skills

* Back-up Solutions

**Preferred Experience**

* Certifications including MCSE, MCITP, CCNA, CCNP or VCP

* PowerShell scripting nice to have

* Microsoft Azure

* Spam Filtering technologies: MailProtector, MS Defender

* Firewall installation & configuration (Sophos, Cisco Meraki is a plus)

* Backup Solutions: Datto, Unitrends, Cloud Backup and DR
