The Opportunity

Abt seeks a qualified Housing Policy Analyst to support its qualitative and mixed methods research. This position will focus on research and evaluation projects that promote safe, affordable housing for all people, programs that reduce and eliminate homelessness, and programs that help individuals build assets and financial capability to improve their financial well-being. The selected individual may work in one of our offices (Rockville, MD, Cambridge, MA, Durham NC, Atlanta, GA), as a full-time telecommuter, or choose a hybrid of in-office work and telecommuting.

Core Responsibilities

• Conduct qualitative and mixed methods research and analysis on housing policy research and technical assistance projects
• Contribute to written products, including technical reports, briefs, and other accessible formats for nontechnical audiences
• Participate in project teams in roles such as analyst and/or task lead
• Assist with managing project delivery including budgets, schedules, project deliverables, client relationships, and collaborating with team members
• Contribute to business development activities and proposals for federal, state, local, and philanthropic clients as a technical writer or proposal manager

• Demonstrated technical skills in qualitative data collection, analysis and/or policy analysis.
• Experience with software packages (e.g., NVivo) preferred, although not required.
• Bachelor’s Degree Three years of relevant experience, or Master’s Degree

This position offers an anticipated annual base salary range of approximately $56,000 to $79,000 and may vary by ten percent depending on candidate geographic location. Salary offers are made based on internal equity and market analysis.
