ABW Appliances is currently seeking a professional, highly self-motivated Purchasing Agent I for our corporate headquarters. Excellent attendance, punctuality and positive attitude are essential for this position and our business.
The Purchasing Agent I will be responsible for providing a wide range of support within our Procurement department to ensure smooth order and product flow to customers. This position will work with a variety of departments and vendors in support of this goal. This role is an excellent opportunity for a strong applicant to establish themselves and grow with a growing company.
Essential Functions
  • Perform routine purchasing support activities.
  • Maintain acceptable inventory amounts based on customer orders.
  • Communicating with vendors to ensure production and availability of products.
  • Monitoring open purchase orders for fulfillment.
  • Following up with vendors to confirm delivery timeframe and transit schedules.
  • Work seamlessly with fellow team and support staff to accomplish goals.
  • Various other duties as assigned.
Qualification Requirements
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience involving supply chain a plus.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365 and Google Workspace.
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly and deal with uncertainty
  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • Courteous and friendly with high level of professionalism.
  • Willingness to follow procedures and adhere to policies.
  • Ability to Multi-task and have solid organizational skills.
  • Able to actively listen to customer needs and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Position Details
  • Job Type: Full-Time
  • Base Salary: $45,000 - $52,000 per year; based on experience
  • Benefits: ABW offers a competitive benefits package which includes medical, dental, vision, 401k with company match, short-term and long-term disability, paid leave (vacation, sick and safe leave, and holidays), and more.
