We're seeking a passionate Guest Experience Specialist for our dual property hotel, where you'll provide exceptional service across two distinctive environments. Elevate your career in hospitality with us! Our brand-new hotel conveniently located at the Reston Town Center Metrorail Station, AC Hotel and Residence Inn Reston will open in October 2024 with 267 rooms including a Rooftop Bar and full service Restaurant servicing breakfast, full and dinner. The hotel will be equipped with over 10,000 square foot of meeting space, indoor heated pool and state of the art fitness center

Position Summary

The Front Night Auditor is responsible for auditing, balancing, and consolidating departmental ledger accounts, prepare various hotel operating reports, and handle the requests and transactions of the hotel guests.

Essential Functions

• Post all daily room and outstanding charges.
• Balance all revenue totals of cash and credits against revenue report.
• Verify and prepare registration cards for arriving guests.
• Handle hotel phone system, transfer calls, and take messages for guests as well as hotel staff.
• Take, modify, and cancel guest reservations.
• Check in/out guests according to hotel and/or brand standards.
• Deal with inquiries, requests, and complaints from guests. Coordinate with other departments to fulfill guest special requests.
• Notify housekeeping and maintenance of any reported problems with guestrooms and hotel grounds.
• Handle all guest questions and inquiries about the hotel and local surroundings.
• Create and/or print the required reports.
• Verify each front desk shift’s transactions.
• Finalize transactions completed during the day including completing a daily income report and daily F&B Revenue Report.
• Maintain cleanliness of the Front Office area.
• Perform cashier duties, cash travelers’ checks. Post phone charges and other miscellaneous charges to guest accounts.
• Follow in-house procedures to help ensure the security of guests and employees. Know hotel emergency procedures.

Education and Experience

• Previous hotel experience.

Skills and Abilities

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain control and composure in difficult situations and exhibit good judgment.
