Role Overview:

Acadeum is seeking an Accounting & Operations Specialist to join our Finance and Accounting team. This individual will contribute to the day to day running of the company, including supporting Acadeum’s internal team members as well as external customers. This role includes responsibilities spanning the back office of the organization, and is perfect for a driven individual looking to gain experience across a variety of functions. It also offers the chance for career progression and specialization as the Company continues to grow. The opportunity is Remote for candidates within a commutable distance to Austin, Texas. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accounts Payable
  • Entering bill information into payments system (bill.com) for approval
  • Setting up new vendor accounts
  • Obtaining tax forms from vendors (ie W9’s)
  • Assisting with tax forms at year end (ie 1099 filings)
  • Assisting with maintaining expense records and obtaining approvals in credit card system (Divvy)
  • Customer Billing
  • Assist with customer billing and maintaining records
  • Administrative Duties
  • Sending and tracking requests for signature via Adobe
  • Coordinating quarterly meetings
  • Maintaining company files
  • Maintaining Onboarding and Offboarding forms, including coordination with multiple departments 
  • Assisting in benefit administration
  • Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Comfortability interacting effectively with all levels within the organization
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to problem solve, manage time, and work independently at times 
  • Strong computer skills with the ability to learn new systems
  • Proficiency with Google products
  • Prior experience with Stripe, Divvy, bill.com, and HubSpot preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years prior experience in accounting or relevant degree preferred
  • Prior experience in human resources, people operations or office management desired
