Acadia Healthcare is Hiring a Behavioral Health Associate - PT Evening and Night Shifts, Children Services - Autism Near Philadelphia, PA

The Specialized Treatment for Autism and Related disorders (STAR) BHA is a member of the interdisciplinary team on the STAR program. The BHA's key function is to maintain a safe and structured therapeutic milieu. STAR BHAs will structure daily activities on the unit, and support patients in their participation in activities of daily living, as well as therapeutic and educational activities.
Belmont Behavioral Health System is currently seeking Part-Time Behavioral Health Associates for our Children's Autism (STAR) program.
In this role the Behavioral Health Associate will be responsible for:
  1. Providing safety checks and patient rounds
  2. Support adherence to the unit structure and schedule on a daily basis.
  3. Support patients in completing of hygiene and other activities of daily living, including but not limited to assistance in toileting, bathing or other activities as recommended by the treatment team.
  4. Communicate with the treatment team through participation in treatment team meeting daily.
  5. Foster a therapeutic milieu through the implementation of behavioral interventions as recommended by the broader treatment team across shifts.
  6. Engage patients in activities designed to support treatment planning goals, in coordination with the STAR BCBA and other professional services staff.
  7. Lead therapeutic-recreational activities and skills groups designed to support learning and behavioral interventions implemented by the treatment team.
This position requires:
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) and 2 years of experience in Human Services and/or Behavioral Health required.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a human services or related field and 1 year of experience in Human Services and/or Behavioral Health preferred.
  • Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required.
  • Certification as a Registered Behavioral Technician - preferred
