Acadia Realty Trust is Hiring a Director, Asset Management Near Rye, NY

Acadia (NYSE:AKR), headquartered in Rye, New York, is a fully-integrated, self-managed and self-administered real estate investment trust. Through our REIT and Opportunistic Fund investment platforms, we are focused primarily on the acquisition, ownership, redevelopment and management of retail properties, including neighborhood and community shopping centers, urban high-barrier-to-entry street retail, and mixed-use properties with retail components.
Position DescriptionAcadia is seeking a Director to join its Asset Management team.
The Director will play an integral role in managing the financial performance of a portfolio of transitional assets (core and value-add strategies) and overseeing all aspects of business plan execution from acquisition through disposition. This is an interdisciplinary role that will require close collaboration with Acadia’s internal acquisitions, leasing, capital markets, legal, lease administration, construction, accounting, and property management teams. Additionally, the Director will be required to interface with external partners, consultants, contractors, attorneys etc. on a regular basis.
Key Responsibilities
  • Spearhead the preparation of business plans and execution of core and value-add projects within Acadia’s existing portfolio and pipeline.
  • Maintain property financial models (Excel and Argus) on a regular basis to reflect leasing, financing, and other changes to the property business plan.
  • Be a leader within the Asset Management group, oversee and develop Analysts
  • Present financial reports and analysis to senior management and external partners.
  • Represent Acadia to partners, lenders, government agencies and other outside parties.
  • Work across internal departments to execute asset level projects including but not limited to leases, spec developments, value engineering initiatives, etc.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 5-6 years of previous work experience in commercial real estate development, asset management, or acquisitions; retail experience preferred
  • Advanced financial modeling and analysis capabilities in MS Excel and Argus Enterprise is required
  • Executive presence; comfortable speaking and presenting to the senior management team
  • Familiarity with leases, construction documents, OEA/REA’s, loan documents and other legal documents
  • Ability to travel
  • Solid interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent collaborator; works well with a team.
  • Self-starter, demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize workload.
The base salary compensation range for this role reflects the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to, skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each individual. A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range for this position is $160,000 to $175,000.
Employees may also be eligible to participate in an annual discretionary bonus program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
