Job Description: The Workplace Meeting and Event Experience Representative is a hospitality-focused role responsible for planning and executing innovative and memorable meetings and events at Accenture’s Chicago Corporate Office. The role coordinates event delivery and post-event facilitation, technology-related support, compliance, and reporting. The role operates as part of the broader Chicago Workplace Solutions team.
Key Responsibilities:Coordinate services for events, such as space reservations, setup, facilities, communicating catering and AV needs, wayfinding, special needs/assistance requirements, printing and security Coordinate the provisioning of meeting planning services/support, manage budgets, invoice reconciliation and paymentsSupport execution of delivery in line with the overall hospitality strategyAssist with general reservations and space management support for the officeUse technology to manage the planning processes for meetings, including meeting registrations, approvals, budget and actual spend, calendars, meeting logistics, attendee registrations etcEnsure support for assigned events and completion of procurement processes such as deposits, purchase orders, billing and final reconciliationEstablish relationships with internal (cross-functional) groups to ensure consistent delivery of service and resolve all escalations related to events appropriatelyManage relationships and contracts with service providers to deliver value-added services and competitive costsIdentify and screen potential new suppliers and services and manage the process cost effectivelyKeep knowledge base updated on supplier and sourcing trends and apply new approaches as appropriateMonitor and manage compliance with existing policy and recommend changes to align with changing business needsProvides support to communicate policy to Accenture personnel and external suppliersBasic Qualifications:Minimum of 3 years of meeting and event planning experiencePreferred Qualifications/Skills: Passionate about hospitality and customer serviceIntermediate knowledge of MS OutlookIntermediate knowledge of MS Office (word/excel/PowerPoint)Comfortable with technology and social media (advanced skills a plus)Professional Skills: Critical thinking skillsProblem solving skillsAbility to take ownership and make decisions independent of customer involvement (proactive)Proven ability to work independently and as a team memberExcellent communication skills (written and oral)Strong organizational, multi—tasking and time management skillsHighly responsive, flexible, and adaptableHigh level of professionalismBusiness partner attitude and approachDemonstrated leadership in professional setting; either military or civilian Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration in a professional setting; either military or civilianCompensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
