Access Behavioral Health Services is Hiring a RN for ACT Team Near Boise, ID

Access Behavioral Health Services is a full services out patient behavioral health company seeking an RN to provide nursing services for its ACT (Assertive Community Treatment Team) and other duties within the company. This position begins at part-time but hast he potential for full time within 1 year or less. Access Behavioral Health Services is a large and well established outpatient clinic that provides comprehensive treatment to the greater Boise area. This position can also float between other departments fulfilling RN duties for those programs to increase the hours. Qualifications:

REQUIRED:

  • An active and unencumbered RN licensed in the State of Idaho.

PREFERRED:

  • One year of experience working with adults with severe mental illness.

Desired Competencies:

  • Must have reliable transportation, insurance and an active drivers’ license and be willing to use personal vehicle in the course of work (ABHS does have company vehicles available and mileage can be claimed).
  • Knowledge of service delivery models including groups, skills training brief/focused therapy, community-based interventions for adults with serious and persistent mental illness, or ability to obtain within 3 months of employment.
  • Ability to communicate and engage effectively with individuals of varied backgrounds, trauma experiences, cultures, education level, and socio-economic status.
  • Must possess excellent communication skills, including the ability to send and receive oral and written messages, in a clear, positive, prompt, and appropriate manner, while maintaining customer confidentiality.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide symptom and medication assessment, evaluation, education, and management to individual with persistent mental illness. This includes consultation with Nurse Practitioner, PCP, hospital, community providers, client, and client’s family/guardian for care.
  • Process and sign medication orders, complete medication refills and prior authorization for specific medications based on provider request.
  • Administer medications to consumers as directed by assigned medical provider staff.
  • Ensure access to medications through timely refills, by obtaining sample medication per order and by accessing patient assistance programs for medications when appropriate.
  • Ensure pertinent medication related information is conveyed to hospital staff in the event of client hospitalization.
  • Assist in development and delivery of staff and/or consumer education in the form of group classes or trainings.
  • Identify and include the client’s support network and applicable involved community partners in care coordination.
  • Develop and implement care plans, measurable objectives, and obtainable goals, in collaboration with the client, evaluating client progress and adjusting as needed.
  • Assist clients in identifying and accessing resources and collaborate with community resources on behalf of clients.
  • Assist clients in the development of healthy coping mechanisms in individual or group settings.
  • Maintain client records and all other required documentation in a timely and confidential manner in accordance with agency policies and procedures
  • Conduct risk assessments, develop and implement safety plans, and provide crisis intervention and stabilization services as needed, including facilitating access to inpatient facilities for behavioral health care.
  • Represent the agency and its services to the community in a positive and professional manner.
  • Participate in required staff meetings, including regular supervision and daily clinical staff meetings.
  • Participate in any required training, consultation calls, and onsite visits or review when required by contract.
  • Accept delegation and follow through with specific expanded assignments and responsibilities within Access Behavioral Health Services, such as assisting with other programs (within the scope of the RN license and position, consultations, mentoring or training responsibilities.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with; clinical, administrative, support staff, community partners, clients, and family/natural supports.
  • Demonstrate teamwork and goal-oriented productivity.
  • Availability for a “Humane” on call system to support the ACT Team.
  • Perform Access Behavioral Health Services charting requirements, correspondence, Workday and other paperwork in a complete and timely manner.
  • Operate as a member of multi-disciplinary team and ensure services are provided in the community and clinical setting in required by contract.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $32.00 - $46.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 40 per week
