Job Description: Respiratory Therapist (7p-7a, Every Other Weekend Rotation) - Skilled Nursing Facility

Responsibilities:

• Conduct respiratory assessments and develop individualized care plans for residents with respiratory conditions.
• Administer respiratory treatments and therapies including oxygen therapy, nebulizer treatments, chest physiotherapy, and ventilator management as needed.
• Monitor and assess resident respiratory status, documenting findings and updating care plans accordingly.
• Educate residents and their families on respiratory health management and disease prevention.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive resident care.
• Respond promptly to respiratory emergencies and provide immediate intervention and support.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation of respiratory therapy services provided.

Requirements:

• Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field (Bachelor's degree preferred).
• Current state licensure as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT).
• BLS certification required
• Previous experience in respiratory therapy, preferably in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
