MEDICAL ASSISTANT (London office)

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Welcoming primary care and behavioral patients into our practice
• Triage patients to the exam rooms and record their medical history into the EMR system
• Measure patients' vital signs, such as their blood pressure and weight
• Help physicians with patient examinations
• Give patients injections or medications as directed by physicians and as permitted by state law
• Schedule patient appointments in person or by telephone
• Collect and prepare samples of blood and other specimens for laboratory tests
• Maintain inventory of medical and office supplies
• Answer and direct incoming phone calls, including client care questions, medication refills and testing results.
• Updating and scanning of patient medical records.
• Completing Medical Records request and Disability Forms for the practice
• Contact new patient referrals
• Assists with covering front desk check in/check out if required.
• Attendance, promptness, professionalism, the ability to pay attention to detail, cooperativeness with co-workers and supervisors, and politeness to customers, vendors, and patients.
• Other duties may be assigned to work as a team and keep the practice efficient

Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of a Medical Assistant program or equivalent combination of training and relevant experience in a family practice medical environment required.
• Proficient computer, keyboard and typing skills required
• Multi-tasking, Flexibility, Telephone Skills, Customer Service, Time Management, Organization, Attention to Detail, Scheduling, Word Processing , Professionalism, Quality Focus
• EMR (Electronic Medical Record) experience
• E-Clinical Works software experience a PLUS

Preferences:

• CPR certification

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
